Alice in Wonderland
Star Trek: The Next Generation was one of those series i loved growing up. I've been shipping the Data/Tasha Yar Pairing since the second episode.
Tasha's character has such an amazing history which, unfortunately fans didn't get to see much of as she was only on for one season. In Data she sees someone safe, and yet not safe. Safe in that he could never hurt her physically, but it is a complicated and potentially heartbreaking relationship because he supposedly cannot feel reciprocal emotions. I tend to subscribe to the Jean Lorrah school of thought on Data's emotions. Any true DT fan has read her book Survivors. She portrays a Data who is naive and childlike, but is able to experience emotion, although he doesn't always recognize the emotions he's feeling. IMHO Tasha is the perfect counterpoint to the logic-driven fairly passive Data. She is hot-headed at times, incredibly stubbon, but like Data is loyal to a fault. This is truly a pairing I will never tire of and keep coming back to.
